Wednesday

It was nice to be able to go outside for recess. 6th graders have their Math test tomorrow over Chapter 5. We have been memorizing all 14 verses of "Twas the Night Before Christmas" and will recite this poem in front of some of the primary classrooms on Friday. Have a great evening.

Monday

Band and Orchestra kids did a fantastic job at their concert today. You can really tell that they have been working hard. Great job kids! We also got a "sneak peek" at the General Music concert this afternoon, as we got to watch the dress rehearsal. Their concert is on Wednesday and the rest of our class will not be attending since we got to watch it today. This week is the Stocking Drive to collect toys for children in need. We ran out of time today so the students will get their spelling lists tomorrow. Friday is "Stood Up" day, so we will be wearing our pink t-shirts. Have a great evening and stay warm.

Wednesday

Another cold day spend inside! 6th graders took home their field trip permission slips today. On Tuesday, Dec. 22 we will be going to the Moss Mansion and then to Fuddruckers for lunch. The total cost is $5.00. Progress reports went home today as well as any missing work reports. We have been memorizing all of the stanzas to "Twas the Night Before Christmas". The kids are doing a fantastic job. Ask them to recite it for you. You will be amazed by how much they can say. Our goal is to have it all memorized before Christmas. Again, stay warm and have a great evening.

Tuesday

Another day spent inside! The class is getting really good at playing "Silent Ball" and "4 Corners" for recess. 6th graders need to bring in their fabric by Thursday for their project. 5th graders have an open book Social Studies test tomorrow over Chapter 4. There is no Spelling test this week, as we are on a review lesson. Book orders are due Friday and midterms need to be returned by Friday. Stay warm!

Wednesday

Brrr! Another cold day. 6th graders took their math book home today to study for the Chapter 4 test which is tomorrow. I now have our math book and activities online. The students took home directions today on how to access. Their username and password are on the parent letter. Check this site out and see what is available. Progress reports went home today along with missing work slips. Midterms will go home on Friday.

Tuesday

Welcome Winter! Spelling homework went home today. 6th grade math test over Chapter 4 is on Thursday. Tomorrow we have Health and Music. For those students who ordered Original Art Work, those projects can be picked up tomorrow from 2-4. If you would like your child to pick it up, please send a note with your permission for them to do so. Have a great evening.
