Tuesday

After talking with the students today, it sounds like everyone had a great Easter break. We used the computer lab today to work on our Success Boards. This project is due on May 9th and the requirements went home last week. We took our Unit 28 spelling pretest today, so the words they need to study are written in their planner. There is no homework tonight. They will be running the 800 in P.E. tomorrow, so wear tennis shoes. Hat Day is Friday! Have a nice evening.

Friday!

What an exciting morning! The counselor from Castle Rock visited our class this morning and everyone got registered for next Fall. Be sure and ask your student to show you their Castle Rock booklet. It has descriptions of all of the classes offered. Our math test has been rescheduled for Tuesday. Book orders went home on Wednesday and they are due on Friday, April 15. Remember that you can also order online. Homework Reading Logs went home today. We have not done these for quite awhile. Students need to read 2 hours for the week and return the log next Friday. Students also need to start collecting boxes, t.p. rolls, paper towel rolls, etc... for Science. They will be making their skateparks soon.

Wednesday

Progress reports went home today. Please check to see if your child has missing work. April book orders also went home. I have set it up so that you can place your book order online. Just go to www.scholastic.com/bookclubs. My activation code is DX7XV. The deadline for book orders is April 15.
Ask your child about www.spellingcity.com. We have been using this site to practice our spelling words. This would be a great way for students to practice at home.

Chapter 8 Math test is scheduled for Monday.

Students started working on final copies of poems today. Their Poetry books are due on Monday, April 18th.
