Thursday

April is upon us and then it will be May, and things are getting really busy. So I wanted to provide you with some dates of upcoming events so you can mark your calendars. The counselor from Castle Rock will be visiting with the 6th graders next Friday, April 8th. They will enroll for their 7th grade classes. If your student is in Band/Orchestra now and does not want to continue next year they must bring in a note from parents stating this. If they do not have a note, they will enroll in band/orchestra. A letter went home from Castle Rock with your student today. We do not have the date yet for our Castle Rock tour.

We will be taking the NWEA tests on April 18 and 19. Our Poetry Cafe is scheduled for Wednesday, April 20 from 10:00-11:15. Your student will be able to leave with you when it is over.

Student-led Conferences are scheduled for Friday, May 13th.

We are planning 6th grade day! It will be held on Thursday, June 2nd. We will need parent volunteers to help with lunch and manning the inflatables. Please let me know if you are able to help that day. It is such a fun day and quite the tradition for 6th grade at Eagle Cliffs.

Thursday

Tomorrow is Class Picture Day. All 6th grade students will receive a free class picture. Monday is the Scoliosis Screening for 6th graders. Homework tonight is Math Minute 26. Social Studies test will be on Monday over Chapter 21. Have a good night!

Monday

Happy Pi Day! We will be doing several Pi activities this week. So be sure and ask your child how we find Pi. Of course, we have to end our week of Pi with some Pie! If anyone is able to send a pie to school on Friday we would really appreciate it.
Chapter 7 Math test is tomorrow. Friday night is our School Carnival. It sounds like lots of fun and all of the raffle baskets look fabulous. Friday is also a Spirit Day and students can wear sweats to school. (No pajama pants)

Friday!

What a long week! We are all done with Montcas testing. The kids worked really hard and it will be nice to get back to a regular schedule. Chapter 7 Math test will be on Tuesday. The Science Fair is Wednesday the 16th. School carnival is on Friday the 18th. Have a great weekend.

Monday

One test down! Due to the Montcas tests this week, we will not have any assigned homework this week. There will also be no reading log for homework. Please make sure your child is getting a good nights sleep and eating a great breakfast. The Read a Thon fundraiser packets are due on Wednesday. Book orders are due on Friday. Have a nice evening.

Thursday

Tomorrow is the Sock Hop! Students may bring their own drink. The Sock Hop is from 1:15-2:45. They may come to school dressed in their 50's style clothing. Chapter 21 Spelling test is tomorrow. Monday we will begin Montcas testing. Deadline to purchase a yearbook is March 10. Have a nice evening.
