Welcome back! I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving with family and friends. It is hard to believe that December is here. We will be working on a couple of special projects for our families. The 5th graders do not need to bring any supplies. 6th graders need to bring $1.25 and 2 1/2 yds. of fabric. The students convinced me that they really wanted to do "Secret Santas" this year. We drew names today and will exchange gifts on Dec. 22. A letter went home today with details of the craft projects and the gift exchange.
Mrs. Knutson talked with our class today about empathy. Our class is full of students who show empathy and kindness to each other. Both grades have math homework tonight. Spelling pre-tests should have gone home today. No Reading Log this week. Tomorrow is library. Have a great evening.
This blog was created to communicate to parents about what is happening in our classroom.

Welcome back to another week! Both grades have math homework tonight. These are review sheets to practice skills they have been taught in the past. 6th graders got their math tests back today. They have the opportunity to correct these up if they choose to do so. They need to have a parent sign the test, and then make their corrections on another sheet of paper. These are due by Wednesday. Unit 10 Spelling Pre-tests should have gone home today. 5th graders are working on their Rock Posters in Science. They will present these to the class on Wednesday.
Our food drive started this week. What a great way to help those in need at this time of year. Have a great evening.

What a nice day to get out of school early! I hope everyone is enjoying the sunshine. 5th graders worked on dividing larger dividends today.
