We had lots of "PINK" in the room today! Tomorrow is "Don't let drugs tie you up", so try and wear a tie tomorrow. Just a reminder that tomorrow is the deadline to correct the math test. The test needs to be signed by a parent and the corrections made on another sheet of paper. Tomorrow we have Health and Music. All students had math homework this evening. If you sold Little Caesars Pizza, you need to pick those orders up tomorrow. Have a great night!

5th grade had another day of researching information for their Native American project. They have written their info on notecards and will begin writing their reports. Most of them said they have started working on their Native American project at home also. Both of these are due on Oct. 30th. 5th grade played "Math Showdown" today to help prepare us for our Math test on Friday. They brought home Spelling homework tonight.
6th graders continue to do presentations in Social Studies. From what I have seen, these look fabulous! I'm sorry I don't get to see the presentations. 6th grade will review in Math tomorrow to prepare for their Chapter 2 Test on Friday. We have almost finished reading our novel "Summer of the Monkeys".
There is no Reading Log due this week. Progress Reports went home today along with Missing Work info. Have a great evening!

What a great day! 5th graders were assigned their Native American project today. They have all of the information on what is required. They will do the research here at school and will build their village at home. This project is due on Oct. 30th. Both grades had math review homework tonight. Tomorrow is the last day to request a pink "Stood Up" t-shirt. These are being provided by our PTA, but we need the forms back with your child's size marked. Remember that tomorrow is a half day. All students will be dismissed at 12:00 and no school on Thursday or Friday. Weekly progress reports will go home on Wednesday.
Have a nice long weekend.

Friday!
Today we had a special assembly with Miss Montana, Annie Anseth. She will be working with our students using a program called "Stood Up". The programs message speaks against bullies and how we all need to stand up for each other. Our fabulous PTA is sponsoring this program and will purchase t-shirts for all Eagle Cliffs students. Please ask your student about the assembly, look at the pledge on the information sheet, and return the sheet with the correct t-shirt size marked. These sheets need to be returned by Wed.,Oct. 14th in order for your child to get their t-shirt.
Have a wonderful weekend!

Thursday
The Billings Elk Lodge #394 is sponsoring an essay contest entitled "The American Dream: What is It?" We have some fabulous writers in this class and I thought some of the students might be interested in entering this contest. I sent home information about the contest with the students who expressed an interest. There is a chance to win savings bonds and continue on to state and national competition. This is completely optional, but I felt like some students would really enjoy participating in this contest. Please contact me if you have any questions.
Reading logs are due tomorrow. Have a great Thursday evening!

Wednesday
Progress Reports went home today in the Wednesday envelopes. If your student has missing work, those reports were attached to the progress report. However, these reports are printed in the morning, so if they hand in their work during the day, it still shows up as missing. Tomorrow is the last day 6th graders will be working on their All About Me books. They need to bring any pictures or other supplies they want. 5th graders have Science homework tonight. They need to complete the "Shopping Cart Caper". Parents are welcome to help with this activity. Have a great evening! Stay warm and dry!
