We are beginning our chapter on Measurement today in Math. Homework is a Math scavenger hunt at home. They have to identify objects that are about an inch, foot, and yard long and identify 3 places that are about 1 mile from their house. We wrote limericks today. Some students volunteered to bring cookies to our Poetry Cafe on Thursday. Hope to see you all there.

April 2

Hello everyone! This is Ms. Felton, Mrs. Alwood's student teaching, doing my first blog posting.

Today was a great day in 5th grade! We did more work with fractions and made equivalent fraction sets. Yesterday's practice with following directions came in handy! :) We also started making posters for science that show different types of producers, consumers, and decomposers. It is due tomorrow, along with WS 59 and page 413, #11-20 for math.

I am having a wonderful time with this class. I feel so lucky to have been placed here for my student teaching!

See you tomorrow, chipmunks! :)
